The MZ-2500 is the standard Captain Package.
Consisting of everything the seasoned charter Captain looks for in a downrigger. Built tough for everyday use from stainless steel & anodized aluminum. Liquid smooth clutch eliminates need for auto stop. Powerful motor with IP66 water protection. Tinned power cable for years of worry free use. Capable of lifting 25 lb weights in both motor speeds day in and day out gives you the deep water advantage. Both rod holders have 9 angular adjustments and 24 rotational positions with 1 handed angular adjustability. Through center wiring for clean, professional mounting and a small 3" x 3" mounting plate with the small boater in mind. A compact, powerful package measuring in at only 13" wide by 8" tall.

simpley the best downrigger made!
I am in the marine electronics business and I am also a fisherman, I’ve had them all, these are by far the best on the market, I install them and I have never got a call back on any part of these riggers for any reason! They are beautifully machined and precise!

great heavy duty downrigger
Great downrigger, super strong and machine work is incredible. Love the adjustments you can make with the rod holders, you can put your poles any direction you can think of. Would have loved to see a water line stop to keep the balls from swinging in waves but only have that problem with the fish hawk because of the extra length. Overall great downrigger I don't know how you could break one.

Best downriggers ever
I have used Big Jons and Cannons for years. I also work on a charter boat. I purchased the MZ 2500 2 months ago and they are awesome. Extremely well built. Love the auto stop clutch system unlike the Big Jon and Cannon which always seem to fail. Above all the price is reasonable compared to Big Jon Brutes almost half the cost. I don't think I will ever have to buy another set of downriggers for decades.
